Long time no see

Hello!!! It's been quite awhile since I have posted and I just wanted to check in.....Times sure are scary and confusing, isolating and defeating.

Personally I have found that people are more connected than ever before. How a pandemic could spread us so far and thin, yet let us grow so much closer together. I made a post on my private page last week about how connected I feel to everyone but I also know that there are so many out there who have never felt so lonely.

Mental health, alone is isolating. It is a consistent pursuer of calm and peace. It wants to take over and capture. People that struggle with mental health issues try every day to remain in control. For those with out there with mental health issues, this quarantine has quite possibly deepened their loneliness, furthered their already dark isolation and tried to strip away the light. I know that it is scary to feel alone, I know that sometimes you get stuck inside your head. Sometimes our biggest battle is the one we face within ourselves, but tough times don't last, tough people do.

I see you, I hear you, I understand. Reach out to me or to someone that you trust if you are slipping further away from the light. Reach out to someone that will make you feel heard, that will keep your heart safe and that will respect your thoughts and opinions. Someone that will let you cry and scream and vent and capture it in a jar and put it away so you don't have to. Know that there is light even in the darkest of times and if you can't find it, there is always someone out there that can help you search for it. Someone that will hold the flame and keep it lit until you've reached it.

Live. Laugh. Love. Learn. Listen.

I am BrIttany.
